BFA - Graphic Design

I approach Graphic Design with a passion and love for technology and creativity; these interests help guide my drive for creating work with limitless possibilities. Creativity is one thing that opens up my mind to different and unique ideas that ultimately turns my work in progress into a well-designed work of art. I aim to develop ideal and intriguing artwork for the appropriate client. The most important thing to me is to please the client as well as include efficient and complimentary work that is relative to how I express myself through new ideas, thoughts and the contemporary direction of the art world. I find that a clean, simplistic and modern approach is more my style and works well in all aspects in the work that I create.

When I create designs, I start with ample amount of research so that I can have more ideas and knowledge to work with. To get concepts going, I sketch thought provoking and random ideas that can consist of written expressions, notes and even rough thumbnails. I get my inspiration for these drawings from various graphic design websites and different artists such as David Carson, Milton Glaser and Tom Muller. These artists have their own unique style and different approaches to their work which I greatly respect and admire. My work has become more of a self-expression of what I can do to challenge myself by recognizing my strengths as a designer such as logo development, research, and web design and then developing these strengths to a further extent. I love the freedom when it comes to creativity and that final feeling of handing over an accomplished piece of work. It’s important to focus on the elements that go into the design process, which starts with acknowledging the goals of the project and gathering as much research/information as possible. The time it takes to produce appreciable art is what challenges me to be a better designer.
